St Saviour’s is the floral capital of Guernsey because of its horticultural heritage. It is the most colourful parish, in Spring there are glorious blooms amid the rolling fields. Roadside stalls sell bunches of flowers alongside the famous ‘hedge veg’.

In the network of small country lanes there are many protected monuments, including the large parish church, and the 14th Century St Apolline’s Chapel. Other points of historical interest are the Napoleonic era artillery batteries, several Neolithic sites, and numerous Second World War German fortifications.
